About this compound

About this compound

SLU-PP-332 is a small synthetic molecule (not a peptide) often called an “exercise mimetic” because it switches on some of the same cellular programs as physical exercise. It activates the estrogen-related receptors (ERRα/β/γ), a family of metabolic gene regulators.

What it has been researched for

In mice it triggered an acute aerobic-exercise gene response, increased oxidative (endurance-type) muscle fibres, and improved exercise capacity; later work examined energy expenditure and glucose handling. Research is entirely preclinical.

How it is thought to work

Pan-agonism (broad activation) of the ERRα/β/γ receptors - with strongest activity at ERRα - driving mitochondrial biogenesis (making more cellular “power plants”) and fat-oxidation (fat-burning) pathways.

Regulatory status

SLU-PP-332 is an early-stage research compound; it is not approved and the evidence base is preclinical. Supplied strictly as a research compound - not for human consumption.
